Swarna Bhasma (incinerated gold), also known as Suvarna Bhasma, has been utilized as a therapeutic agent in traditional Ayurvedic Bhasmas that contains nano and colloidal gold particles. It is considered one of the most expensive medicines in Ayurveda because it contains up to 98% gold particles.
It has been used in India for centuries to help joint pains, blood sugar, cough, and nabz-related problems. The presence of gold in earlier times was observed to provide numerous therapeutic values.
Swarna Bhasma may help improve body strength also considered an excellent cardiac tonic for heart health, general weakness, low blood pressure, and low pumping capacity of the heart.
Traditionally, Swarna Bhasma is believed to enhance immunity. It is also considered to have an antioxidant. It is usually given orally mixed with honey, ghee, or milk.
Swarna Bhasma when taken in the prescribed dose and duration is considered safe for use the dosage is 1/8th to 1/4th Ratti; where 1 Ratti = 125 mg, i.e., One can take this formulation daily mixed with honey or ghee, twice a day, preferably 30 minutes before a meal or two hours after a meal or as directed by the physician.
